“Ask Me Anything” Webinar for Students

Ask Me Anything, September 23

We’re hosting an open-floor session for medical students and graduates applying this cycle, or getting ready to. No script, no slides. They bring the questions, we answer them straight: rotations, LoRs, the Match, visa timelines, whatever they’re stuck on right now.

“Ask Me Anything” Webinar for Students

AMO-Town-Hall-Sept-23

U.S. Clinical Experience Town Hall: Your Questions Answered

When: September 23, 2026 10:00 a.m. CDT

Every question you’re students may have about U.S. clinical experience, answered live.

You’ve all read the forum threads. You’ve asked in the group chats. You’ve gotten five different answers to the same question about rotations, visas, and what U.S. experience actually does for your residency application.

On September 23, bring all of it to a live town hall and get one straight answer per question. We’ll cover choosing the right rotation, what makes U.S. experience matter to programs, and the practical stuff nobody explains well, from timelines to paperwork.

Applications Are Open!

MyERAS submissions opened September 2nd and programs start reviewing September 23rd. If your students have already hit submit, take a breath with them, and then let them know the work isn’t quite finished.

Three things still matter after submission:

  • Letters. A LoR from a physician who supervised them in person carries real weight in review, and letters can be assigned to programs after they’ve submitted.
  • Clinical experience still on the calendar. A rotation starting now reads as continued clinical activity, and some interviewers ask about it directly.
  • Interview readiness. Invitations start arriving early, and students who begin preparing in September interview noticeably better than the ones who start in November.

If any of your students could use help with one of those, September is a lovely month to sort it out.
